Corrections log
When a result is wrong, the fix is recorded here and on the method page it affects, with the date and what changed. Entries are never removed.
How corrections work
- Every method has a worked example that runs as an automated test before each release, so a fix to a formula changes the published example at the same time.
- A confirmed error is fixed and logged within two working days. The entry says what was wrong, what changed, and what a reader who relied on the old result should know.
- A contact address for reporting a result that looks wrong will be published on the about page once our mail handling has a privacy notice to go with it.
